Hello, parent + guardians of 5th-12th grade Alberton School Students! If your child is interested in playing volleyball, football, or flag football this upcoming Fall season, there is an important meeting being held tomorrow, Thursday, August 10th at 7:00pm in the Alberton School cafeteria. We will discuss practice + game schedules, school policy and other very important pieces of information--parent participation in this meeting is vital to ensure our upcoming seasons are a success for our students and school. High school sports practices will begin this Friday, and a sports physical is required for all student-athletes to participate in practices. Most general practitioners and walk-in clinics can perform a sports physical. This message is for all incoming 5th-12th graders who are interested in playing football + volleyball this upcoming fall season. We will be holding a Fall Sports Meeting on Thursday, August 10th at 6:00pm in the School Cafeteria. This is for all junior high and high school athletes. High school volleyball + football will begin practicing on Friday, August 11th (practice times will be sent out in the next week) and junior high volleyball and flag football will begin practicing the first week of school (details to come). All athletes must have a physical done BEFORE the first practice in order to participate. Greetings from the final full school day in Alberton! We want to remind you that tomorrow, Thursday, May 25th is our final day of school for the 2022-2023 year. Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10th is the 16th Annual Mineral County Fun Run. This year, the run will be hosted in Superior with students in PK-4th grade participating in a 1 mile run/walk and 5th & 6th grades participating in a 5k (3.1 mile) run/walk. Participants are encouraged to proudly wear their school colors! Please send your kids with proper shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Lunch will be served to all students immediately following the race. Please note that this is a peanut-free event and we ask that you do not send peanut-containing products with your students. The bus will leave Alberton School at 9:00am and return at approximately 1:00pm. Quick Details: What: Small School Mass Band Concert When: Monday, May 8th Time: 5:30pm Place: Alberton School Gym Full Details: Band students from Alberton, Superior, St. Regis, Charlo, and Lincoln will come together today and learn new music from 10am-4pm. After sharing a dinner together, they will then perform a concert FREE to the public at 5:30pm. Everyone is encouraged to join us in the school gym for a performance to remember!
