From the Clipboard of Activities Director Josie Shafer | Week of April 13, 2026
What a week for Alberton Panthers!
First, a huge congratulations to our SkillsUSA team at the State Competition in Great Falls. Our robotics team is headed to Nationals in Atlanta for the second year in a row, repeating as State Champions. Evan and Mahlon brought home gold, Logan and Elijah earned silver, and William took bronze in Pin Design. Our middle school team, Cameron, Jay, and William, competed hard in team engineering as the youngest team in the competition. MJ gave it her all in the job interview contest. Every one of these Panthers represented Alberton with pride.
Our track team made the trip to Polson for their first meet of the season. On a sunny day above Flathead Lake, Shea earned 2nd in the 800, and Marley made her varsity debut with a 5th in the 200 and 6th in the 100. With much of the team in Great Falls for SkillsUSA, these two carried the Panther flag to Polson and did it well. Great start to the season!
Our tennis team headed to St. Ignatius for the Mission Invite, where Breanna and Arya came away with an 8-3 doubles win. Layla and Peyton continued building their game in doubles, and Isabael gained more singles experience. Keep growing, Panthers!
This week, competition continues:
Friday, 4/17 | Track | JH | Thompson Falls Invite | Thompson Falls | 10:00 AM (7:00 AM departure)
Friday, 4/17 | Track | Varsity | Rasmussen Invite | Coeur d'Alene | 1:00 PM PT (11:00 AM departure)
Go Panthers!

School is out Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 11, and we hope your crew gets some well-earned rest and adventure.
Montana has a way of putting on a show in spring, and right here in our backyard, there's plenty to explore. Here are a few ideas to make the most of the week:
🌊 Hit the river. The Clark Fork is calling. Whether you're fishing, skipping rocks, or just watching the water move, there's something grounding about time near the river.
🥾 Take a trail. Spring means new growth, birdsong, and mud (the good kind). Lace up and head out, even a short walk counts.
🌱 Start something growing. Plant a seed with your kiddo, in a cup on the windowsill or a patch of yard. Watch what happens.
📚 Read outside. Grab a blanket, a good book, and some fresh air. Simple, free, and genuinely wonderful.
🌄 Watch a sunrise or sunset. We live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Take a moment to actually look at it together.
However your family spends the week, we hope it's full of good rest, fresh air, and a little bit of magic.
It's almost time! We'll see you back on Monday, April 14. Enjoy the last few days of school, Alberton! 🐾

We know life gets busy and unexpected things come up. When your child needs to miss school, please call the front office so we can help them stay on track with their coursework. Our teachers are ready to work with families — communication is key.
Missing even a few days can make a big difference in grades, credit, and confidence heading into next year. Let's finish this school year strong together.
Panthers finish strong, together. Every day matters.

On April 13, our high schoolers are invited to a Build Montana Popup Event featuring two hours of hands-on construction experiences led by local Montana contractors. Real tools. Real trades. Real skills.
At Alberton School, we believe every student deserves a chance to discover what they're capable of, and opportunities like this are how that happens. We are so proud to keep opening doors for our kids.
Alberton families, watch for a permission slip coming home next week!
