Alberton School District is excited to announce two open positions for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year: a K–12 Music Teacher and an Academic and Behavior Interventionist for grades 6–12. Both roles offer a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative staff dedicated to supporting students academically, socially, and creatively in one of western Montana's most beautiful communities.
K–12 Music Teacher
Alberton School District is seeking a music educator to build and shape a comprehensive K–12 music program. This position may be part-time or full-time depending on candidate interest and district needs.
The K–12 Music Teacher will provide general music instruction at the elementary level and develop and teach music courses at the middle and high school levels, with the freedom to help design program offerings. These may include choral, band, music appreciation, guitar, music technology, and more. The position also involves preparing students for school and community performances and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music across all grade levels.
Our music room is fully equipped with instruments and materials to support a robust K–12 program. Beyond the school day, we are hoping to find an educator who will actively engage the broader community through concerts, performances, and potentially private or small-group music lessons. Professional collaboration is strong within our district, with staff working together in PLCs and a shared value of creativity, initiative, and relationship-building.
Academic and Behavior Interventionist (Grades 6–12)
Alberton School District is also seeking a dedicated Academic and Behavior Interventionist to support students in grades 6–12. This educator will provide targeted academic interventions through small-group and one-on-one instruction, support and implement behavior interventions in collaboration with administration and the Student Success Team, use progress monitoring and data analysis to drive student growth, and partner closely with classroom teachers to align interventions with core instruction.
Our district operates within a strong MTSS framework, supported by an active MTSS team and structured PLCs that regularly review data and refine instruction. As part of the MT Reads Grant, Alberton provides high-quality literacy training, resources, and curriculum to support both student achievement and teacher professional growth.
